The Fly Rod Safe Company was founded with a desire to create a more enjoyable and convenient fly fishing experience. Fly Rod Safe’s design and manufacturing approach starts with the selection of high-grade aircraft aluminum (not plastic) and quality materials built into a durable and stylish design that not only looks great but keeps gear secure and protected from the elements for a lifetime.
Troy Coleman runs a welding shop in Montrose, Colorado who set out to solve the problem of wanting more time fly fishing and less time rigging.
He knew to solve this problem he had to build a fly rod carrier that would allow him to be “always ready” to fish. It had to be durable, portable, convenient, look good and that could endure the harsh mountain environment. And more importantly—it had to keep his fly fishing gear safe and secure. He created the original Fly Rod Safe design for himself, but it wasn’t long before he was making them for his family and friends. And the rest they say is history.
